Being a framer has been a great learning experience for me in a variety of different ways. From cutting the wood for the frame, to mat & frame design, color theory, to mounting methods, archival framing, high-end sales and a lot more, the lessons I learned in this field were enormous.
My attention to detail is easily the most cultivated skill that I acquired from my experiences with professional framing, (which has transferred into my style of finely detailed abstract artwork). The entire process of framing a picture can be very painstaking and slow. From the choosing of the colors in the mats, the various mounting methods, the frame, every piece takes much attention and is individual. The assemblage of all the components is also very painstaking, never before I have i ever been able to see even the most infinitesimally small piece of dust from 5 feet away behind glass! After thousands of orders filled, the process of color and detail etc. just becomes second nature.
I take great pride in my individual style and know i have a truly unique voice to share with the world. I hate labels but you could say i combine classic elements of craftsmanship and technique with a sometimes completely non-representational composition. Using my own language of curves, line, texture, color etc. to convey an interesting, detailed, work that hopefully will capture the viewer's eye for at least a few moments if not much more.
My goal is to share my vision, my knowledge, my experiences, my energy and expressions of my soul through my artwork. To teach and learn from others, working towards an individual and universal vision of a better reality. If you want, you can help my me, my vision, and my art out by making a donation:
